For low difficulty content I'll go in blind (preferrably with other members of my FC); but for high difficulty stuff I'll always watch a video, preferrably MTQcapture's. From there it's all about adapting to whatever strategy's become prominent beyond that, because I'm pretty quick to learn and adapt.

And finding a party that can actually clear it, because, well, my work schedule's too erratic to participate in a static so I have to rely on Duty Finder. As a result, I feel like the least I can do on my end is try to be at least aware of what I'm walking into when I join a learning/going for clear party.
