As timely as the holiday celebrations seem to be, look forward to this one Nov 15th!
I like the witch outfit, but I wish some more detail had gone in to the robes. Maybe some designs or something in silver or orange on the robe and hat. As it is now it...looks very plain.
Ah well, I'm still looking forward to the event! Halloween is my favorite Holiday, and since I'm apparently too old to go around and ask for free candy bits from other adults, I have to settle for game fun. ;w;
I hope they add this event first then 2.4 as if they add them at the same time my head will blow off with all the crap i have to run around doing :P
that looks pretty cool and is not a reskin. I like it a lot!

Honestly the outfit stuff aside, I would enjoy an actual event, not something that involves me talking to 9 different people across all of Eorzea and delivering the fish to this guy for that other thing to give to person B to get the reward, or fates...
To me that's just not creative, its kind of the standard basic mmo formula....
EQ2 had an amazing one where you have to travel this hedge maze to the center to fight a giant werewolf only to get knocked out and wake up in a haunted mansion where you have to find a way out, eventually you make it to the basement and as you come closer to a mirror you realize its your mirror reflection and you have to fight the "mirror" you that is all evil and stuff...and when you finally leave theres a message saying you feel suddenly very thirsty (implying the vampire thingy from the mansion...) anyway...that's the kind of stuff we should be getting for seasonal events.
I would love something like this, maybe like a special instance of Haukke Manor or something. You could even throw in Edda for good measure. Unfortunately it's going to be talking to someone in each of the main cities, maybe with a different hat on, and getting the quest rewards.EQ2 had an amazing one where you have to travel this hedge maze to the center to fight a giant werewolf only to get knocked out and wake up in a haunted mansion where you have to find a way out, eventually you make it to the basement and as you come closer to a mirror you realize its your mirror reflection and you have to fight the "mirror" you that is all evil and stuff...and when you finally leave theres a message saying you feel suddenly very thirsty (implying the vampire thingy from the mansion...) anyway...that's the kind of stuff we should be getting for seasonal events.

Wow, this year's is even worse than last year's.![]()

I don't think its just laziness on their part. Halloween is relatively new to Japan. Their first Halloween thing was in 2000 when their Disney World set up a Halloween event.
I just don't think they grasp the concept of the holiday. I think they could really benefit from sending someone here to the US, to one of our better Halloween events.
For example Cedar Point has a really creepy Halloween event. If you are going to incorporate another cultures holiday you should do some extensive research first.
Halloween isn't about being cute, unless your 5 and your parents dressed you to be adorable. It should be scary.
The witches costume should have been tattered with claw like hands and an ugly witches face mask with the hat.
