Problem with chocobo colouring

I have tried to change my chocobo's plumage now for a few days and there seems to be a problem: I feed it the required fruit, it now says the plumage will be able to change in 6 hours but now no longer says my chocobo is growing new feathers nor does any change occur in the colour of the plumage 6 hours later. In addition, feeding it more than one fruit gives no message at all about colour changes OR the chocobo growing new feathers. I have stated this in a previous bug report and prior to that, the GMs. In the former case, I was told they can't give hints; in the latter, that I had to report the bug to the developers. This isn't a request for a hint. I've gone so far as to reset my chocobo's colour to original and start over but with the same results as I've stated above. It seems obvious to me that there is a bug and my previous complaints about it have either been blatantly ignored for what they are or completely misunderstood. Anyway, I would really appreciate this issue to be investigated seriously.

Take out your chocobo and put him back in. That what i did to fix the issue i remember feeding my chocobo it say growing new feather but noting happen in 6hours.

I'm not even getting the message that the colour is changing. I've also tried what you suggest and nothing. I'm very frustrated and feel like the dev team is ignoring my reports.

Maybe try to take him out and kill mobs with him. If you finish one of the weekly challenges {Bosom Buddies} it might reset his data.
Your right something has to be messed up if you cant change his color from the starting yellow.
