Those original fights aren't endgame. They were made for main story, which is why they are supposed to be so easy. It's not the same thing. Coil is an endgame raid. There's a difference between what those two things fundamentally are in an MMO.

then they should start doing future endgame content like that, 2 difficulty levels to make everyone happy. any reason to oppose it? will it affect the endgame raiders somehow?

1. No raider went into any Coil and one shotted it when it was current content. No one. They went in, they did their wipes and their time, and got better at it. You're literally assuming all raiders are good video game players, which isn't the case. Some people work harder at it than others to be acceptable in endgame. Not everyone is amazing. They still clear it though.

2. You have a horrible view of statics if you assume they will mock your game playing skills. I sometimes wonder if how you see statics is how the average super casual does? Everyone in a static must be monsters, must be amazing players, must be super rude and elitest. It's incredible because that's hardly the case. Most of the time, statics are either made up of 8 people who are friends, just cordial to each other, or eventual friends. Your view of the cruelty of statics is so wrong.

The raiders in this thread aren't looking down on people who can't do it. They are looking down on people who either have never tried it and are complaining. Or people who unrealistically believe that they are entitled to a storyline without putting in any effort for it. For example, someone who queues into the current nerfed T6 with no idea what to do. They wipe, they ragequit, and then come here to complain about the difficulty of Coil.

video games are something that people do during their free times for entertaining. most games don't need to put any effort for it. those people didn't do anything wrong.

Because it's a fact of society that people are taught from childhood to look down on others who make no efforts.

People hear all the time, "I farmed like 3000 fates for one Atma!" and then you discover that they only did three in each zone. "Coil is too hard~" even though they only try a handful of times. It just shows no effort.

And considering how SE nerfs content, it becomes an issue for us all. Aside from the raids going forward, they don't make something different. They just nerf what we have. Now, that's not to say that I'm not fine with nerfing in general, I am. All MMOs eventually nerf their content. But basically removing all elements from it is not the same.

When people complain about the difficulty of something, SE nerfs the current fight. SE doesn't create a new one. So technically, I can't keep playing like I usually would.

You're confusing the word "effort" and "skill." Even games like Cooking Mama need effort to complete. Most games don't need an overabundance of skill to complete, but they still need some effort.

Edit: With all that said, I'm out of this thread. It's silly considering that I support an easy and harder Coil mode like Alexander though it's still going to be entertaining when people complain that the easy mode is still too hard for the super casual.

don't you guys have a problem with Levi-Ramuh-Shiva in storyline too? it's pretty much the same thing. why can't they have Coil for story mode without any loot and have extreme mode for endgame raiders?

I know, you people just want to look down on people and say something like "I don't understand why people don't just do it, the content is there, just do it". the answer is they can't do it, you already know the answer but still pretending to not understand. apparently people are a piece of shit if they can't beat some video games and have to be compared to mongoloids who can't read a book.

Why do you care how many FATE someone else has done? Unless you are in a party with someone, nothing that they do affects you. If the character next to me were wearing full Dreadwyrm gear obtained from Easy mode Coil and I got mine from Hard mode Coil... how would that change the time I spent having fun with my static? Why would I give a flying f**k how they go their gear or the difficulty at which they've cleared Coil? I got my gear the way I wanted, I am happy with what I've done, they got their gear the way they wanted, they're happy with it. Everyone's happy. It's only a problem if you can't mind your own business and tie your self worth with what someone else is doing/wearing, otherwise you'd just /cheer them and move on about your day.

That's because we don't have a story mode. If we had a story mode and a difficult mode like we do with story and difficult primals, you could. They just have to make an actual easy/story mode like there is for primals and then they'd have no reason to touch the more difficult tiers.

that's what I don't understand why the raiders don't want SE to implement a story mode Coil. if they make 2 separated modes for it they wouldn't have to nerf Coil 1 & 2 every 3 months. now they don't want people to have story mode Coil and also complain about how Coil 1 & 2 got nerfed.
