I guess I should explain it.

Bots and cheaters don't have time to do things.
The aforementioned families do not have time to do things.

It was a very simple comparison that flew over many people's heads.

Bots are used by people purposefully cheating the system so they don't need to invest time.

We're talking about normal people with time constraints wanting the story and lore to be tied to content that they can complete within their time constraints.

They're nothing alike. You don't compare your average driver wanting to pay an affordable amount of money for a economy car with a thief who stole himself a brand new Bugatti do you?
