There's a guy named "Aieron" who plays League of Legends who is disabled and has to hit keys by holding a pen with his mouth. If he can get to Gold 5, I'm pretty sure there isn't a single reason (Barring aforementioned internet problems) people can't clear Turn 5 with an echo buff.

that's because the best players tend to gather together. Path of least resistance you said. Gather the best around not to ever bother about the skill of the people you may meet.

I'm completely serious. It has less to do with skill and more to do with perseverance. The fact of the matter is that the story you want to experience is locked behind content that has already had both developer-implemented nerfs (Echo buff) and natural nerfs (increases in strength of gear). The amount of effort required is ridiculously minuscule compared to what it used to require. If people are not willing to put in effort, they don't get rewards.

I didn't follow him too long, but he was solo queueing a bit when he started out. Maybe he had duo partners when he got more popular, since he became quite the celebrity over Reddit when he began streaming on Twitch.tv

IThe release should be as follow :

=> new raid, normal difficulty and all
=> 3 month after, at next patch, the story mode opens for those who did not manage to win the last part of the raid. Winning a story floor does not allow to enter a "normal" floor after. As an example, T6 story mode would not unlock T7 normal mode but only T7 story mode.

=> 3 month after, new raid. The story mode of the old raid doesn't grant access to the new one. As an example, T9 story mode doesn't grant access to T10 normal mode. You'll have to wait 3 month to get the T10-... in story mode to progress in the story.

Don't you see how much of a joke your argument is ?

First, both games are totally irrelevant. Someone good at LoL might be the worst FFxiv player you would ever see, or the contrary. You cannot compare 2 games like that ("oh this guy there is good at that game so you suck for not being good at this one"). Second, them being disabled has nothing to do with their skill. Yeah they're good even when disabled. So what ? Am I not allowed to play because I can't achieve their level of skill without being disabled at all ? That sounds stupid. It is stupid.
Finally, you could take any example of players, it would not be relevant.

It all resumes to this :

"Hey this guy can do i, so should you."

No. Hell, I'm sure there is even some deaf people who would beat the crap out of me at musical games even though I have a clear advantage on paper. Does it mean I am lazy for not having their skill ?

Yet I am asking for a story mode not for me (on T5 at least), but for all those players who don't have my luck/partners (they all scattered a few days after that kill) or even skill (for what I'm worth).

T9's still under lock out and i remember seeing t5 buys going for a lot more than 700k (and i doubt the price difference is that large between legacies), so I'm not sure why t9 costing 35 mil right now is any relevant, unless it's personally relevant to you.

Not trolling. You asked in the original post, and I quote "[For] a version of the coil which would only serves the purpose of giving the story to players." You didn't ask to experience the story, so I "gave" you the cut scenes to feed you the story like you wanted. I don't see how I'm wrong. You received exactly what you asked for.

In regards to the reference Adamant made about the player on LoL, his point was that with enough effort anyone can achieve their goal. But I guess that went right past you and you saw it as a game comparison and needing to be disabled to get anywhere...I won't ask how you came to that conclusion...but I'll let you be.

I don't know about her / his LSs, but ours doesn't have any skill / gear / play time / dedication requirements and all members in ours who have wanted to do T5 after the echo patch have gotten the win in a LS group. I have not seen or met a player who I'd believe to be unable to learn and beat the fight in a reasonable time (a few hours split on a few days at tops) in its current condition.

There are many people in this thread that claim the fight as it is, its mechanics, are impossible for some players to handle. Can anyone give examples on the mechanics they find impossible and the issues they encounter with them? Because I seriously have a hard time imagining what is left there to be an obstacle.

Look I just gave you an option, T5 clear is so easy but some people have problems with it, I understand that. Now with the option I have you, what is harder? farm 700k or get people to clear T5? I know of some people that cam make 1mil+ just SB in 1hr or 2hr. You dont need a RMT to get money just have to be a bit smart, have some priorities and do a bit or research. As for T9 right now we have lockout no echo, we can't spam it like T5 maybe in the future when we dont get lockout the price would drop and could easyly be farmed like T5.
