It's about time to add Coil story mode, isn't it ?

I'm not sure it would be a good idea. It would just be like finding a party to go through ramuh or levi hm. People who have already cleared them wouldn't be interested. I'm not even sure that a story mode coil could still be considered a "raid" if they eased it as suggested by OP. They could turn it into solo-quest then or just add coil cutscenes to your diary so you can watch them with your character.

Maybe, it would be different if they designed it to be like garuda ifrit and titan hm where you can still wipe if the party doesn't know what to do.
But these are just my 2 cents ..

in short , coil story is part of reward for completing it, just like end game when you hit 50. you want something, earn it. period.
since when do gamers ask game publishers/developpers to unlock stuff they can t earn bc of whatever reason that may be ?

^^ Other Games have several difficulty levels for raids so nobody is left out. This Game has only one difficulty level for all players where they funnily enough expect only a tiny minority to be able to beat it when it comes out. This cannot fit for everybody and players make it worse with their attitude.

I can understand raiders complaining that they want the best loot only from the most difficult raids. But now even a side-story is prohibited when you can't beat the content around it for whatever reason? Ridiculous.

This “community” is really strange sometimes. The minority who do Coil regularly and are able to proceed just do not like it if other people can see the same things they see, even if there would be no loot but only Story and Lore.

Face it, most people who stepped into second Coil find T5 easy. But for the majority, even with Echo, it really isn’t. Just because you find something easy, please do not assume that it is the same for all others.

Once per month I join T5 training parties to help but guess what? The vast majority still struggle with it and wouldn’t make it to Phase 2 on T6 or any other turn. But when these people come to the Forums and complain or ask for something, all they read is “it is easy, just do it” or “what, even with Echo you can’t do it?” Stop denying reality.

How can it be your concern (if you are into Coil non story-mode) that other players would like to at least enjoy the story without having to train weeks for each turn? Is there only one way – your way – to proceed in Coil? How would a separate Coil mode disturb you? Maybe a Story mode would raise interest for some of the players who so far avoided it?

All I take from some of the answers is, “I bashed my head against the wall to see the cutscenes and so should others”. Childish much? I get it when you have invested lots of time into something and you do not want it to be handed out on a silver plate to others. But just asking to be able to enjoy the Coil story is a no-go without wiping for weeks in each turn?

Coil has a huge portion of Story and cutscenes and I can understand the desire to see it on your own without having to invest weeks of training. Why can’t some of you? Because you learnt it the hard way and so should others I guess. Making your standards everybody else’s standards is like a 10 year old child in a sandbox not wanting his playmate to use his precious shovel although he doesn’t need it at the moment.

There is a lot of people in this thread that don't know how samples and populations work... need to study more statistics guys.

(A sample of 54k over a population of 2.5m is more than enough for an estimation, think that vote intention surveys over populations of 18M are done with 1.5k - 2k samples... juststatisticthings)

That's not even close to my point. I started on PS3 myself. Don't you put words in my mouth.

My point is saying 7% of an unknown (but absolutely not 100% or 50% or close to those) percentage of players have done a thing gives us zero information. If I tell you I have 10% of half of some money I owe you, you know I have 5%. If I say I have 10% of a portion of the money I owe you, you have no idea how much money I have.

Considering it does not affect you in any way, yeah, it is. I had my fun with T5 and now it's someone else's turn. If they can't beat it nerf it! It doesn't diminish my experience (and the fun I had) at all.
