If housing plots weren't limited in number this wouldn't be a problem lol. I don't agree that people who are inactive should lose their house. I mean, they earned it (assuming they got their gil legit). Why should it be taken away? But at the same time... there's only so much room in the wards, and someone who disappears and leaves their house unused is taking up space that someone else could be using. idk the whole things is a mess. My feeling right now is that abandoned houses shouldn't be taken back. Doesn't seem fair.

    Awesome.
Judging from the aggressive replies I keep seeing, the current plot availability situation has made FCs and individuals turn against each other, and has turned everyone hostile against anyone who dares take a break from the game for any reason whatsoever, while actually very possible scenarios (people getting ill, pregnant, enlisted in the army and whatnot) are being treated as extremely hypothetical, and those affected should be punished by having their in game homes taken away from them, which will however make their return to the game much less likely.
That's some fine community spirit. >.>

    Personal House

The reason for housing its for the gold sink. And the 35days period is to mark players activity so SE knows how many active players they currently have ( SE needs money for the game development- which i totally agree)

But what i do not agree was, i have to step inside the house within 35days, which you know some of us busy working, vacation, real life thing.
I feel that, SE should put it as 35days of INACTIVITY in SUBSCRIPTION,
or prolonged/change the days to 30,40,50, or 60days(depends) of inactivity.

    By doing this,
    1st- SE got their MONEY.
2nd- Players get to keep their HOUSE.

    its win-win situation

    Some might say
"whats the difference in Stepping into your house and subscription?- if you dont play the game, what for u subscribe ?!"
For me, the most important part its the subscription- this is how SE earn money.
As long as im subscribed.... who cares ur playing it or not ?, at least im SUPPORTING the game. i can subscribe for 90days without even logging in ONCE !

    Just my thoughts.
    Thank you

Because the issue isn't about occasional players who barely log in one day a month. We're talking about serious players who put a huge amount of care and effort into this game, and play a lot. Yet if this rule applies to individual housing like it was discussed for FC housing (since they're the same thing), then a single time of getting interested in something else for a few weeks can wipe out months worth of effort. Lots of highly dedicated and active players will still take a break whenever another game comes out. It doesn't make them any less active and dedicated after they finish that and come back to the MMO. But if they have to start over from scratch every time, with nothing to show for all the work they've already done, SE will be losing a lot of customers who will only keep coming back if they can continue playing where they left off.

I actually agree that with the current ward style of housing, some limitation has to be placed on keeping plots after you're no longer playing, but it has to be based on whether you're paying your subscription, and has to allow for normal short term breaks. 35 days of not entering your house/yard is an absolutely ridiculous requirement. Make it 90 or 120 days of not paying for a subscription, and then sure, I can accept taking the plot (while placing all items —including otherwise non-removable ones— with the housing broker to be picked up when you get back).
