through interviews over time. they even said they asked for help from the rest of the company but it was too late as the game ended up being released before the rest of the company stepped in.

Well you would think that while this game is bleeding their money away, they might try a little harder to do something about it, instead of having a couple of handfuls of people looking over it, and a few nice PR stunts. (See: Player Polls, which have disappeared long ago. Wonder why?)
