This game has begun with a crappy things to do and a crappy core mechanics, making this game almostly unbearable to play.
The Dev team is doing a great job resurrecting this game that has so many aces in its sleeves.

Thanks Dev team to keep us having fun in Eorzea, and keep up the good job!

Can't be that unbearable...you still around to make it to 50...and some peoples have all their classes near 50. If it's so unbearable why you still playing it? As for value for what you all paid for...I know a number of games that didn't last 5 hours and you already beat it that costs as much as FFXIV. For those who bought Collectors Edition you actually really got 2 copies of the game.

Yet people have played many sleepless days and hours in FFXIV etc etc. and you still telling me it's unbearable? People enjoyed it...maybe not as much as they could have...people sunk their time into it...so people got their worth.

Honestly, entire games are developed or partially developed in the time it's taking them to make minor tweaks and adjustments. I am not impressed. I will never understand people like you that rain down praise on people who are clearly taking their sweet time fixing this abbhoration.
THIS THIS AND THIS ^^^^^ Im glad some people can see it for what it really is in this mostly blind and carebare community. Its just that fanboys are ...well....fanboys and there's nothing you can do or say to convince them to look at things objectively and logically - kind of like the republican tea party. It could also be devs posting on alts - im sure that happens occasionally. The game is free to play for a reason - you can bet your ass they will start charging you when think their own game is worth a dime - and they still don't - so what does that say?

It's not a matter of being a fanboy. It's a matter of seeing and joining and being part of a social gaming community from the beginning. If you gonna complain about a game especially an MMO perhaps don't play an MMO at it's release. Some of us actually like the journey that a game evolves from and like to be part of it and maybe have some feedback as to it's direction. Nobody is forcing anyone to play or complain. IF YOU TRULY hate it that much please just exit stage left...oh be sure to trip and fall on your way out.

Because I'm talking about the whole people thinking. I actually was, am and I hope I'll always have a great fun with my linkshell and the multitude of things to do, chances to RP, explore,...
In Eorzea, everyday was a challenge for me, but for others was just a pain in the a** because the game released too soon and if you wanted to go forward you had to grind, thing that I didn't do.

I'm having my fun in Eorzea, building my achievements, doing my objectives, playin' it RP-style, insulting Claroise and stuff and I see a high potential in this game, having fun to see it growing day after day.
    That's why I keep goin'.

I'd like to slap a frying pan made of cast iron at all of you who think it's merely a job or that they are being paid for it. Seriously? Do you even know how most of these jobs work these days? Do you even understand the cultural implications of some of your statements?

With salaries going down and in salaried positions your job is threatened if you don't accomplish said thing by deadline. You are a dime a dozen if you don't finish things you can easily be canned. MOST people who believe in a product also work tireless hours...because their name is on it and they don't want their reputation tarnished.

I would like to see all ye flamers who haven't had the fortunate experience to work in a similar situation.

I've been there...when you work 7 days a week, don't leave the office, forget to eat, spread out a couple chairs in the office to make a makeshift bed, look at your paycheck since it's salaried and you really only got paid for 8 hours of work but did 20 and you worked your weekend away instead of going out to enjoy it. I don't know but I did the math once when I was in software development I made a whole $3 an hour USA...and I'm from the US...and then I had to do the very thing I dreaded most.

What is this dreaded thing? Reading the forums and instead of hearing constructive feedback wade through all the flamers who kill any excitement or energy I had to do anything or desire to continue to want to do anything for said 'idiots' yup I'm calling you the 'flamer' an idiot!

I don't know much about the Japanese work environment. But what I do know is that many Japanese work on the basis of HONOR. They are prideful to be part of the company they work for and their undertakings...they don't want to dishonor their work family. So they'll work their heart out if it kills them.

I'll say one thing...certain cultures are lazier then others and certain peoples are lazy. Certain people work their tails off never assuming or asking for credit. They just feel obligated to do so just because they signed up for the course and they understand. Then there are others that ride along and pretend like they do something...but all they do is suck. And then the people that work hard get enough of the BS and move to greener pastures. Where might you fit in?

A thankless job, feeling used, working endlessly...and nothing much to show for it. There's a reason why many people who enter this industry leave it after a short period of time. Life is too short...
Everyone works for money, otherwise it would be charity. Good for some developers, they happened to find something they enjoy and can get paid to complete their job.

SE does not hold a monopoly on MMOs. Please enlighten us on why are you still playing this game.
