Lets recap though; why should he feel the need to post such a thread? Because it is the general forums and it relates to their-self and the game. If we go by your rather strange logic, than any and all general forum threads are egotistical. The majority of replies are not stating very obvious points about the OP's reason for quitting or even about their situation, they are personally attacking the OP, about their money ,about their access to technology, even about their choice to post a thread.

Won't bother to reply to that last bit of your post because truthfully it is a ridiculous reason to harp on the OP.

Sorry man, but I'm not attacking his money at all. I'm just point out the fact that he makes it known that he can purchase a couple rather decently priced ticket items for himself, but can't solve his own TeamSpeak problem with his static. It's not a stretch to say that some statics would rather play with voicechat. It shouldn't be a problem at all if you *really* want to play with them. You either abide by their very small rule of needing TS, or peace out. So he peaced out. What's really silly is the fact that he had to soapbox his reasoning, and then further post in replies that he could have solved his problem in any number of ways.

Granted, everyone can soapbox their opinions and statements, but all are subject to any sort of inquiry and retort. Just as he has the right to state that he's leaving because of a lack of TS on this public forum, we can also call him out or question why on the same public forum.

Fine, lets say he can't solve it for whatever reason. Why not go find some people that don't care about TeamSpeak instead? Why not leave peacefully without posting anything? Why not instead directly attack the usage of TeamSpeak in FFXIV (or any MMO) instead if he wanted to make his post more clear?

I never said you were attacking their money. That was an example of the replies people have given in this thread. I'll chalk that up to you missing that one. Anyway, so you find it odd that after purchasing what they have, that their budget can't support anymore spending? I don't see how that is an issue at all. There are several people in the world that live on a budget. After buying that PS4 and new phones (which was intended to solve their TS issue), they exhausted theirs. Expecting them to dish out even more money or fault them is ridiculous.

Um what? No they didn't post in replies that he could have solved his problem in any number of ways. He further posted about the things he did to try and solve his problem already, which included buying the phones, of which were dead-ends.

Ok finally, your first legitimate point. Yes, the OP could have found people that didn't care about TS and yes the OP could have focused their thread more on TS usage in XIV. Arguing these points is what people should have done rather then make personal attacks.
