I assume that something changed. Either deafness or it's a simple technological barrier that could be solved.

True, but we have a deaf member in our FC and he can still use TS - (not sure on the exact way he does but he does)

What is preventing you from using TS?

I had an Android that crashed everytime I booted TS. Spent $500+ for an iPhone 5C, but it was damaged while I was getting ready to board the train for work. I then bought a Windows phone, but it does not support TS or Mumble.

kinda late, but eh. hate to be mean about it, but one person said it before. should have looked up if the phone would support it. also, what thoughts were running thru your head to spend $500 on a phone? Not just once, but twice. at the first phone bought (the 5c) i would think most would get insurance on it in case something happened, or simply bought the same phone from before. this is less a "the game doesnt have this so im leaving" thread and more along the lines of "i made some poor choices after some bad luck and spent too much money" kind of thread.
