Seemingly Selective Latency

Greetings and salutations, everyone.

I am posting this because I have noticed something considerably odd as of late.
Namely, I've been experiencing what seems to be selective lag and latency issues.
It seems to vary depending on which character I am currently on.

For example, I can play on my Bard and have no issues whatsoever. Yet when I swap to my Gladiator, he can barely fight any enemy due to an exceedingly high amount of lag.

As strange as I found that, I utilized my Performance Monitor to observe the latency in real time on FFXIV's connection - and what I found was interesting.

The Bard was connecting through Coeurl's designated IP Address despite being on Balmung, and his latency was roughly 50ms-80ms.

The Gladiator, on the other hand, was connecting through Siren's designated IP Address - yet he, too, is on Balmung. His latency was reporting at 90ms-250ms.

After finding this, I went through my other characters while simultaneously monitoring which IP they connected to for FFXIV and what latency was being reported - and each one seems to be a different IP - and never the one designated for Balmung.

A few were shared, such as the Black Mage and the Gladiator I mentioned earlier - yet at the same time, the Black Mage does not experience the same lag or latency reports as the Gladiator.

I am considerably confused regarding this, and am sad to say that I am unable to play on the Gladiator much at all due to the heavy lag and latency.

Am I missing something concerning all of the above information? Is there anything I can do to remedy this situation?

A few things of note:

• The "designated IP Address" information is taken from ARRStatus.
• The Gladiator was recently transferred from Siren to Balmung.
• The other characters, despite reporting varying IPs, all transferred from Gilgamesh to Balmung in May, and have only ever been on said two servers.
• I have contacted my ISP, and they are not reporting any changes or issues with my connection.
• I have tested for latency issues in other online games, and am sad to report that I am only having such issues with Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Out in the wild. I have not attempted any duties during the course of my testing.

That is weird, maybe it's a load balancing thing?
