How to PVP better as SCH?

I've decided that I'm a mediocre sch at best.

    Uninstall at worst.

How should I better improve when I have 2-3 PLD/melee on me and I'm the only healer on my team?

Or if I need to be able get away or deal with a lone dragoon chasing my tiny healing self from an obvious never-getting-that-flag-run-don't-give-them-kills situation?

My main primarily heals in Frontline's and when its just you on you're own its difficult although I have found people really do not want to switch to that role especially with the fact Cleric Stance has been removed. That aside all I can really suggest is put your AP points into Enhanced Vit, use Vit accessories and so on. If the other alliances have extra healers they should be joining to assist you..

Oh and from personal experience I have found if you can party with 2 WHM's with yourself as SCH that is the ideal setup (but if its 4 -5 healers if you're on a base then its pretty impenetrable). Don't give up though its hard being a healer in PvP, but you'll settle in soon enough.

    Good luck!

Now, I am not the best scholar or even good at it but I think you should start by asking the other teams you have to lend you or ask someone on your team to become a healer. From my experience, teams with only one healer against teams of two healers will 95% lose.

Frontlines is about working together as a team so another thing I suggest is to stay in a group, do not go too far ahead and if you are in trouble, run to a tank. Just as in a dungeon, a good Tank will notice and cover the healer so you can start healing.

Also, another thing as a healer, there should be no never-getting-that-flag-run-don't-give-them-kills situations. Frontlines is all about teamwork and if you find yourself running instead of standing and healing in those situations, your team will never win. Remember, a healer and a DPS or Tank can sometimes take down two or three, even a whole team of people. At the very least, you are distracting them from doing other things, which is sometimes more important because it means the rest of your group could be stealing that team's flag at a different location.

The best advice I could give you though is that Barrier Move is your friend as well as your Scholar's PvP Damage abilities. There are only two but one will send people away like one of Carbuncle's moves do.

I hope you understand what I'm saying as well as I hope better scholars than me put in their two cents.

Started as a WHM, got into several frontlines matches, get my ass handed to me, walked out and played BLM for months after. It took weeks of observing other players to realize how a healer must be played in PVP because the first thing I can tell you it compares to no other MMO i know of. Now I'm playing and enjoying SCH.

Some tips you might want to consider:
    - in a defensive party one single healer won't do. You simply do not have the tools to survive the inc. dmg. all by yourself and keep the rest of the party up at the same time.
    - your fairy (which should always be EOS in defensive parties) is an extension of yourself - use it. Have it on Obey and have it positioned on the flag. The more it moves, the less it heals. Also, have its heal binded to a key because it will allow you to target heal while your character is moving.
    - you're main concern as healer are interrupts and for this you have some tools and neat tricks. The tools are: equanimity (for the time in which you only have 1-2 enemies on you), surecast (for one important heal you can stop and cast), swiftcast (for those times when time is of the essence or you can't stop running). The tricks are: blizzard 2 (draw the melee away, swiftcast blizzard 2 and you can get back into healing leaving them looking like retards), sprint (melee can't sprint and blms need time to cast so out of range and line of sight works on them; so if the shit hits the fan, start running, put some distance between you and your pursuers, heal, run some more) and aura blast (either by itself or combined with sprint it can put some distance between you and whoever wants you dead)
    - divine breath or swiftcast res - use the moment a healer goes down, but don't be afraid to use it on dps or tanks also. Can be casted on the move and that extra hands on deck can really make a difference.
    - finally, the oh shit button: attunement. Using it at the right time can win fights or lose fights. Make sure you use it only when you are heavily focused. Try to be in range of your fairy and/or the second healer. Before using it, if time allows it, try to buff your fairy and pop fey and whispering down - while you're out she can do miracles by herself. Try to use it on the flag - 10 seconds of almost-invulnerability on a flag counts. The problem with this skill is that it allows focusing dps to prepare for burst. Be ready to run/lustrate/swiftcast like crazy once you are out.

But the most important advice I can give you is not to panic (like I did in my first matches as a healer). You are a universal hate magnet and people will jump (some of them literally) at the opportunity to tear you apart. But remember: you ARE equipped to deal with them. Keep your wits, look around you, assess the situation and react accordingly. The more experience you get, the easier it will become for you to see ways out.

    Good luck!

I play SCH to support my teams.

If I queue in and there's enough healers I go back to being a squishy BLM.

Is there an easy way to switch your cross class skills or you need to do it when you queue as it? Because surecast and Blizz2 certainly or not in my list as SCH though do have them.

Im a main whm and sch but i dooo enjoy ripping through them in frontlines as a brd.

I never play them in pvp even though they are my favorite. I play on ps3 so hard to macro in so many more actions on sch
