New to Frontlines -- PLD or BRD?

Hi all,
I posted this in the PvP forums, but since not many read that I reposted here ^^ I've been thinking of getting into FL and wonder which job is more useful? I've played about 5 matches just for fun, and usually find bard to be a little better at contributing by focusing the healers/BLMs to interrupt their healing and free nuking. Paladin I try to cover/ten...whatever healers and melee who get close to them, but it seems I need a whole new set of gear (STR) to be of any dps use.

Any opinions on which would be more beneficial to teammates in FL? I'm not looking to be a solo person, but to contribute the most I can to a win. Also any hints/tips to ether job would be most welcome! Thanks!!

I play paladin, black mage, and white mage in FL.

Of the 3, I like paladin best because I mostly play paladin outside of FL..I have never played a bard in there but the fact that you can move and attack is very nice.

In addition to that, bard's are very annoying to deal with so if you like doing more damage then I would say that bard would be a good choice for you.

Bard can be fun until you run into another bard.

Your main job will be interuppting WHM heals and bothering them till majority of the team is dead seeing as you probably can't down a WHM as a solo bard and will need help.
I dont normally tank FL but from what I see they dont have a good time mainly PLD. I tend to destroy them pretty quickly as a dragoon seeing as PLD have such a low HP compared to the WAR and I spike PLD in about 2 rotations

I would say Bard are actually very good in frontlines, whm and smn are great as well.
To be honest i have never had issues against other classes as Bard (drg and Monks) only summoners have pretty much destroyed me a few times. I cannot say from a tanks point of view in frontlines but i say go for it and try it
