switching servers

I was wondering if theres a popular server world for anyone based in the UK, sometimes I feel bored on Zodiark, being the only active member of the fc I'm in for much of the week.
Is it right that theres a fee to pay if I intend to do this?

Unfortunately, there is a charge of $18.00 to transfer your character to another server, and not all servers are open (particularly the newest servers where the economy is not as developed). You are also limited in the amount of gil you can transfer as well, so if you have a stockpile, try to dump them in to tradeable goods like materia or mats.

As for servers, you might consider Shiva, Lich, or Phoenix as those are the most popular EU servers. I don't have any actual experience on them so you may want to create a new character there first to test the waters and community.

Shiva is pretty active imo and there are tons of active FCs to chose from too.

you can join goblin we have a very active FC with a lot of member over in the UK

Moogle is, I believe, considered a French server, but we have lots of UK and English speaking members on at GMT evenings. I actually transferred from Zodiark to Moogle myself. If you do, and you want a friendly face give me a shout (Becky Rahz)

Cerberus isn't bad as well. There are UK and EU people around with a smidgeon of americans here and there as well hehe.

Hey, our FC in Zodiark (Under The Moon's Eye) has members active at all times. The peak is the evening, however due to time differences there are members on during the night and often during the day. We're a friendly bunch and members are active at all levels of the game.

...I finally made up my mind to stay on Zodiark, but now without a fc to be in. If I don't see any offers soon, I may as well look for a fc myself, as I've seen a few large ones listed on the world I'm in. I'm on at after 7pm gmt.
