I wonder why they aren't following suit with the new mechanic? I suppose I could understand it if there was PvP in the game, but if I'm just standing around loitering somewhere, and decided I didn't want to see the Conjurer's stick floating behind me?

Conversely, the argument could be made as to why I would care if other people could see it, so long as I didn't, but that seems backwards to me. I should look to everyone as I choose to look to myself. If everyone is going to see that Conjurer's stick, there's really no reason for me to hide it?

Much like the helmet. If the answer was that it truly "wasn't" hidden, I'd turn it back on, and change some of my equip macros to ensure I was taking it off when I wasn't out on a guildleve or other activity where I felt I needed the extra stats from the lid.

I guess knowing that the helmet works in a more 'traditional' way (hide to self and everyone), I'm curious as to why they didn't do it with the class tools in passive mode?
