    If you don't intend to get another Nexus, then I don't see the harm in trashing it. Besides, you can always get another one from Gerolt's apprentice.

    What you could do is stash it in your retainer, especially considering there will most likely be more steps after Nexus.

    It is a bit annoying to have the last Book in key items...

    You can throw the book. I did, and you can throw the glass too, they won't be used again after Nexus and even if they are used, they can be reclaimed. I threw my last book when I finished it and it didn't conflict with getting to Nexus.

    The book might be usefull if you want to have that same Novus again for glamour, but if you don't plan to do it, then you can throw it away.

    The last book you can throw away. If you start the Animus quests again for another weapon you buy a new book and the last book vanish anyway.

    File a bug report on the books...cuz it actually IS technically a bug.
    Or rather, programming oversight. Since you don't talk to G'jusana again and all the "upgrade" actions are independent, they probably took the lazy route and didn't have a check to erase the last book just in case of the situation of someone working on another animus while upgrading the first.
    A case of laziness being beneficial in a way.
