No. It isn't. not in comparison to switching enemies. Think about what is involved to switch; I have at length.

Perhaps I have an affinity for not wasting time and cramping my hands with needless button presses.

Yes it is. It really really easy to select a target to heal with in a party. You use the D-pad (without holding in any of the shoulder buttons) and select up and down to select a target within your party list. No needless button pushes needed.

It's NOT hard to heal with a controller.

I main as a healer on a ps4. Only time I find it a pain to heal, is healing outside a party in pve. But that can be helped with the use of macro's and changing the targeting preferences when your weapon is drawn.

You must have ignored the reference. I clearly explained how it takes 10+ button presses to cast Stoneskin on 3 people. Even if you heal (as Bixby mentioned) you are constantly holding down shoulder buttons to cast and releasing to select party members. There is no need to hold/release when targeting enemies, therefore it is the easier, less complex option.

Silly logic going and ruining arguments.

Repeating the process of pushing a d-pad and selecting a target, then holding in L2/R2 + whatever stoneskin set to, 4 times is not difficult. It is an easy process which is merely repeated. Repetition of a simple process doesn't make something harder, just tedious & ebuu has shown a macro which can eliminate that process. So sorry that "logic" doesn't really hold much water.

Healing is slightly more targeting intensive than say DPS and Tanking, because of the constant switching between targets to place heals, taking debuffs off and attacking mobs in between heals. But this in no way makes it a "nightmare" on a controller nor hard just because you've got to press the D-pad more often.

I'm sorry that you feel healing is hard on a controller. But please don't try to put others off trying to heal on a controller.

Your continued instance to prove your point tells me you have an need to wait time with needless button presses.

Let it go. I think everyone agrees that improvements are needed but that doesn't mean you should blame the controls because simply because you refuse to adjust their style of play.
