Relic and glows

I'm actually okay with my Thyrus Nexus--it's the least glowy of them all and I can actually see my weapon, which is a nice change from the Animus/Novus line. The circle of runes look nice to me. However, I echo the sentiments expressed in being able to turn the glow off/on as well as customize the color.

It honestly depend on how big the weapon is. BLM/WHM staff look nice. Monks look like they are holding 2 suns

The glow is too much. It really hurts my eyes to even look at them.

I find glows are often used as an excuse for actual strong design.
Don't want to put in the effort? Put an effect on it.

Glow on MMO weapons is like lens flare is to photoshop. It can be fine if used sparingly and subtly, but usually it's a cheesy and distracting technique that cheapens the overall work.
