    Which would be HILARIOUS. XD

Personally, I think if they raise the level cap to, say, 70, one of two things would happen:

    - Either ilvl 55-70 gear would have its level raised to match its ilvl, and all higher ilvl gear will have its ilvl raised to 70, OR
    - No change will be made whatsoever to existing gear.

The former choice would be better for newbie players, as the latter option would mean that they'd be under a lot of pressure to collect higher ilvl stuff before other players would do dungeons, Primal fights, etc with them. It's easier to lay the burden at the newbies' feet, and insist that they overgear and overlevel for content.

The latter, though, is easier to implement, and so that's the route I expect SE to take.

they will probably reset to ilvl55 ( example next cap is lv55 )

and start all over with the new lv55 cap

they will also add character lv in party finder too so ppl lv50 and say i135 cant be locked off

They don't actually need to change a thing. All they need to do is set the next ilvl range of gear at the new cap. So the ilvl 120 or whatever would be equippable at level 60 and so forth. It would make a lot more sense to do things this way too. That way you don't render everyone's hard work obsolete with the patch, and you can still have requirements to unlock the new tier of equipment similar to the old ones.

I mean, for example, if they raised the level cap to 60, will they change all the ilevel 60+ equipment so that you have to be level 60 or will they keep it at level 50 and just add new equipment with a higher ilevel?
But then how high will the ilevels go? We're already past i100.
    Hmmm...
I can see it handled like WoW, all the gear pre patch is the same, all the gear post patch is a higher item level.

so at say level 51 we could recive ilvl 117 items from quest rewards.

Considering every low level pink and green equip already has a higher ilevel than the level required to equip them, they don't have to do anything

Came in to point this out. And what I've noticed is the required level for green gear is usually the minimum level of the dungeon it's found in, but the ilevel is that of the maximum level of the dungeon.

No need to touch actual armoury. Who got endgame armour will be able to enjoy next levels without worry their equip, as long as lv 51 armour will be most likely into the i50-i60 range. It will be next tier of endgame armoury set up from i110 the classic ones and higher for the top raids, imho.

No change to current gear. If they add new gear for each level between 51 and the new cap I'd be extremely surprised, but it would most likely be quest rewards with stats similar to NQ crafted gear, or HQ if it's aetherial (pink from levequest coffers). In that case, quest reward gear with required level 55 would have the same stats as a NQ piece of i55 Militia (crafted) gear, and the aetherial version would be equal to the HQ i55 Militia gear. More likely though, level 51+ quests and leve coffers would just award current gear (like i60/Darklight/Myth/etc.) to increase power levels closer to the new maximum faster.

what bother me, it's if they continue the same model (new ilevel upgrade every 6 month) in no time we will get item ilevel 200-300, i find it ridiculous, even WoW have understand that increase too much the stats and the ilevel is not always the right solution.

    ilevel != stats

so long as the stat inflation isnt terrible they can increase the ilevel all they want.
