    Place (Pet)

As of this point, I have no clue why if you run out of range, your fairy is dismissed. What should happen is when your fairy gets to max range, it automatically switches to Heel. There is no reason why this shouldn't happen, because there's no situation where you would rather resummon your fairy than to have it follow you. And if there is, you can simply dismiss your fairy by right clicking on it.

The only argument I can see is that some may say it makes you pay more attention, and while that's true there's also nothing wrong with a convenience feature that isn't a buff of any kind.

    What say you?

Leave it as it is, if you cant pay attention to a simple thing like that maybe SCH/SMN isnt for you.

Eyh look, here come the elitists.

I agree. It's not a huge deal by any stretch of the imagination, but it's still pretty weird to have it go away as soon as you're 2cm beyond her range. I wouldn't call it something that NEEDS to be fixed, but I'd be a nice addition.

I haven't played SCH, only a bit of Arcanist so I can't put TOO much input to it... but, just put Heel next to Stay/Place o.o And then jab the when you're about to run off.

I don't agree with Sanguisio's wording, at all - but yeah, I don't think it would be too difficult x.x;; Pretty much as ItaruKarin said.
I think they didn't auto-heel the summons so that you could get to the max range without it suddenly abandoning it's post (though, that does not make a whole lot of sense) - or possibly as a mechanic of distraction on a mob for the player to run and escape while the summon tanks/hits the monsters (I've done this with my Carbie, before, if not as happy accidents x.x). But I could be entirely wrong on that.
I don't know the faeries ranges but my Carbie would only poof after I had quite a bit of distance from it.

You only ever really place your Faerie during bosses, so it doesn't follow you and accidentally go out of healing range or if you need it close to certain people for Whispering Dawn. It's pretty easy to forget that your Fairy's been placed if you've been focused on healing for the last 3-10 minutes.

I have heel right next to place and I forget half the time regardless. It's not a huge deal if swiftcast is up, since you can just resummon her on the fly, but it can be pretty irritating to make your whole party wait up for the summon when everybody's all ready to go.

I wish place actually placed my pet I'm tired of being in a fight, placing my pet. It get hit by a nock back attack and it stays in its new place, out of range now, and won't use its attacks. It should return to where it was placed at, not stay rooted where the nock back put it

Oh jeez get over it, getting bored of players complaining and wanting everything in this game to be easy and automatic.
You'll be wanting Aetheflow to trigger automatically when you run out of stacks soon............

Heaven forbid players wanting their pet to be a tiny bit smarter. It's a QoL change, not the huge gameplay change you're making it out to be. You get over it.

Its just lazy. Also seeing as a change to pets will affect the others, on SMN/ACN is can be a benefit to have it stay there to tank mobs so you can leave the area and they will reset.
How about you go and lvl your ACN and leave the feedback to people who actually main the class/job.
