Where does iLevel 90/100 gear get you to?

What i meant here was what does the iLvl 100 gear from the Tomes get you to? So if you get the gear from Tomes by doing front lines. How far can this gear take you as a player? Or rather. When do you start to replace this gear with something else?



edit: is it enough for Ex primals. because i saw there is an iLevel 90 1h sword from here.

i90 gear is enough to challenge almost everything in the game right now. It's easily enough to handle EX Primals and the First Coil of Bahamut, and enough to handle at least the first couple turns of The Second Coil.

However, iLevel is only part of the equation - your personal skill is a huge factor. You could be fully decked out in i110 gear and get your ass handed to you by Titan EX or Twintania simply because you don't know what you're doing, or be outputting half the damage of an i90 DPS because you don't know your rotations, etc.

I agree with Garlyle. i90 is enough to be a contributing member of everything in the game, except maybe Turns 8 and 9 right now. You'd be getting kinda carried there.
i95/96 should be a good point to start trying those, and i100 is adequate for everything now, and probably adequate for Shiva and the start of 3rd coil (although with all the free sands/oils 3rd coil will probably be tuned for i105)
