How does Cursed Shriek work?

In base it petrifies everyone but the victim. If a renaud is petrified they can act as a barrier creating a cone of safety. The further back from the Rennaud you stand, the narrower the cone. If closer, then the cone is wider. However if you are standing inside the renaud's hitbox (i.e. The red circle on the ground when targeted) then they don't act as barriers and the petrify still hits everyone, which is what it sounds like is happening to you. Make sure the victim is standing further away from the renauds and that everyone else bunches up onto the invisible cone if safety

The player with Shriek needs to move behind Renaud, and everyone else should move to the center of the arena between the boss and Renaud.
You will still get petrified if you stand to the side, or the person with Shriek does not stand properly behind Renaud.

If you are inside the Renaud's target circle, it won't LoS your shriek and the shriek will hit everyone. You need to be outside of its circle very clearly. It helps to target the Renauds to get a feel for the size of their circle (but do with care as you don't want to autoattack and kill it).

You know the triangle it makes for the Curse Voice??? Same shape with the Curse shriek, this time, the Cursed Shriek player faces the party as if he/she want to pertrify the party but behind the Rednault, outside of the hit box but because the Renault is on the way acts as a barrier, as long as the party stands safely inside the imagined cone you creates, they will be safe.
