Personal story using Summoner

Doing quest steps where I teleport into an instanced area is when I am having this issue. None of the monsters get taunted when I use Titan. I don't remember this happening using Topaz Carbuncle, but those were low levels. Now I have to run away and spam my useless heal on myself while trying not to die while casting DoTs. This seems broken to me. Why does Titan taunt every other monster except these story quest monsters? It's not just the boss monster either, the regular ones chase me also. It doesn't seem fair that a Summoner has to run away from 4 monsters at once while trying to spam the tiny heal. Using the Bind spell doesn't help that much either since it doesn't last very long, and the pet's aoe seems to break it anyway.

Do you have Titan set for either Heel, Steady or Stay? If it's any one of these abilities, it will not attack no matter what until you specifically give it commands to do so. Additionally, if your pet is set for Obey, it will not use AoE attacks until you specifically command it, which means when faced with multiple targets it will usually ignore them to only concentrate on a single target. Try putting Titan into Sic or Guard and see if that helps.

Question on this. When summoned, what are they in by default? Obey? Sic? Guard?

Usually when I summon I don't touch any commands and they do just fine. With Eos I use Steady then Obey. SHe does fine with embrace allowing me to use her other skills as needed instead of her using them everytime they are off CD.

I usually just leave the pet on default settings. I will try Obey when I use the Bind.

The two steps I remember having the problem were the one where the dude turns into a dragon, level 42 I think, and the one with the bird lady in the water with bubbles flying out. I can't remember the names sorry. I just did the step where I had to rescue Biggs and I didn't have any issues there, so perhaps there is something wrong with some of the steps? I didn't do anything that I don't normally do. So if it's just a few story steps I won't worry about it.

The dragon doesnt taunt off you because you are supposed to use its aoe to kill the other mobs particularly the knight. Before they nerfed it that was the only way to kill it as it would heal significantly.

There are enemies in the game that are untauntable and usually it is for a reason other than ohmygodimonfire

Fun bonus fact the bosses in SV hard can hit each other.
