Please make LeviEX weapon drops Tidal!

I know the drop rate on mirrors were set low to have ppl run them multiple times b/c that was one of the best sets of weapons in the game at the time it was introduced. But its been awhile now since hunts came out and making some levi weapons inferior. Also, looking ahead at the next patch, there will be a new primal to fight. If the requirement to fight Shiva is to have beaten RamuhEX what will be the incentive to have to go back to LeviEX other than for ramuhEX clear? I don't think mounts are enough to go back for the mirrors to upgrade those items.

Also, it would help players boost their ilv so that they *could* have an easier time taking on RamuhEX and ShivaEX since their ilv for their weapon is higher. 5 ilv may not sound like much but each increase of ilv boosts weapon dmg, primary stat for that job and VIT for extra HP.

PS: I know I can setup PF for a chance at successful farm, but what happens after 2.4 and rest of the majority of players can now get ilv140 weapon?

SE has a plan to ease up the drop rate of the mirror in the future. So, please look forward to it

The incentive will be the next primal focus quest, which se announced recently. Considering the last one was i90, when coil was i95 and zenith required 3 weeks myth to be saved up, it's safe to say this has a good chance of having a pretty high ilvl.

And honestly, nexus is sickening me so much, I will forget about relics if the primal weaps are nice.

Didn't they already say they weren't gonna do another Primal Focus type quest again?

I know they said they would ease up on the mirror drop but realistically Atma rocks "drop sufficently" as it is now. Which I was lucky to get my first set of Atma rocks in about total of 18hrs grinding FATE.. then took around 42hrs for next set of rocks. Just my opinion, if they just up it to 15% it would feel like playing Russian Roulette with with a broken gun. It's currently frustrating as it is since I'm trying to get a mirror for my BLM since i don't really want the alternatives that are avail. I'm not doing Novus/Nexus b/c of cost and time to farm another set of rocks... when am I suppose to afford my personal house if I did?

IDK maybe its just me but it seemed like they had 3 different paths for weapons to begin with. 1. relic path, 2. primal weapon path 3. coil path

People from path 1 won't necessarily be active and progressive to do path 3 at the same time. And people from path 3... not sure why they would bother with path 1 if they can farm path 3 for less timesink and best stats currently in game. I'm just wondering why last patch primal path content is still so difficult to get it finished. And I still know/see people that can't beat titanEX.

We already had primal focus weapons @i90, and levi was only i95 for base ?!?!? I'm all for face grinding but at the pace they have eased up on other content before why hasn't this mirror thing been removed?

I agree, I think that just changing it so that the weapons drop in their tidal forms is much better then simply increasing the drop rate of the mirrors. As Guetta said, the amount of people farming for mirrors post 2.4 is going to be significantly lower then it is now since there will be weapons of a higher ilvl available.

Also in 2.4 you won't need a Levi EX win to fight Ramuh EX(if they're keeping with the trend they started with not needing the original 3 EX's to fight Levi and Moogle EX) which also lowers the amount of people who would want to farm for mirrors because most will just say why would I spend time farming for a mirror when I can simply run Ramuh EX and get an ilvl 100 weapon.

Mirror is not the only reason why people farming LEVI. They also farm it for a chance of Leviathan's Barb for Housing Item and Chocobo's armor, Lord of the Whorl's Barb for Wavesoul Tidal Fountain or Crafted Primal Weapon which I believe will be add when 2.4 hit if they keep the trend going. Mount is the bonus on top of that. Over time, you will see the reason why people doing this not because of the mirror, but rather for the mount and other items, mirror will be there, you know just for a bonus, or people want to have the glow. And that is the same for every Primals Ex out there. So to be honest, I would prefer the increase the drop rate of the mount....Hundreds hundreds clears across all Primals Ex and still yet to see on Mount drop....Grrr....!!!

Ok... let me say it this way. I know the Pld situation with dual mirrors was never intended as something a PLD had to work 2x as hard for but they changed it so that it DID drop tidal sheids. I'm suggestion why not just do it for other job/weapons also. The people that want to farm for barbs, mounts will still be there like the previous poster stated. Even people that want to glamour will still do this fight for weapons. As it is now I think it was korea that was just added to the list of countries to be added. The players will still be there. Should they have to grind months for a mirror too?

Unless they up the drop rate for mirrors by alot.... with 2.4 I'd rather find another way to get a weapon instead of setting foot back here with another 1-2 months trying and trying and trying for a drop that I've yet to see or will have another 5-10% chance of seeing vs what I currently see.

I think it's OK that we relax this a little by now, so I actually wrote an email to relax it yesterday evening.

So sounds like it's going to get a significant boost in drop rate in 2.4.

The phrase "relax this a little" is vague. (I understand there may have been a translation error but I don't remember seeing this officially from SE community reps in English)

When I go to a restaurant and I say "Can get some mashed potatoes on the side?" how much is that? do i really really like my mashed potatoes and want a serving as much as my entree? Or do I want a small ice cream scoop of mashed?

The reason I made this thread was to say "how much *I* would like of my mashed" instead of just going along with saying.. "your decision is fine with me until the patch notes comes out and then I'm angry." If people don't voice how much of a degree they would like, that's when your really disappointed when things come out. I can understand to gate new gear/items/weapons but if I can spend 3 weeks to get my sol, UAT from ST, AND Sands from ST all w/in the same 3 weeks and i get this all before I can even SEE one mirror drop... I think that's a horrible ratio for droppage. Especially if this is the time when we are suppose to be getting "caught up" as SE has stated that this patch is in prep for 2.4 .
