Off Topic section request.

Nothing more to add.
I want to have a section i can discuss whatever i like (as long as it stays on topic ).
Whatever that topic might be about other games , my underwear or how many puppies did tanaka adopted past week.

Every other game forums in the industry have it .

This is an official game forum, the purpose of which is to discuss the game itself and nothing more.

There are various fan-made forums that have off topic discussions such as ffxivcore.com, ffxiv.zam.com and ffxiv.gamerescape.com, among others.

An off topic section serves no purpose in aiding SE with the game's development, and as such is unnecessary.

The mods here have enough work already keeping these forums "clean" and "productive." They shouldn't have to waste their time with things that have nothing to do with them.

i tought forums of games were made so gamer could discuss stuff and communicate . not teach developers how to make a game( altought they can see what the player base wants of their discussions)

Also , there is plenty of game official forums with offtopic sections.

Perhaps it would be a nice idea to allow for these kind of threads in the World forums. It would allow for you to get to know the various people on your server better, and build the in-server community.

I think General should allow for off-topic threads, so more people would post things under the appropriate channels.

na i just want an off topic in general but if people dont think is viable ill dig, im not a sore looser.
But that is a request im gonna make because to me freedom of speech is important.

Or it may end up being more troll fodder and an extreme nuisance... since the mods will have to moderate it which would take valuable time away from moderating the real forums, resulting in more trolls.
