Request: A /useitem macro command!

Hey folks! So... /useitem. That isn't a thing. We should make it a thing.

Why make it a thing?

Currently, there are a ton of items, namely stat-boosting potions, that are going unused and selling for peanuts on the market boards. For such useful items, is it really wise to let them all go to waste?

If a /useitem macro was implemented, these items could get a LOT more use as they could be tied together with various abilities, such as an Intelligence potion just before a Flare, a Mind potion just before a Medica II, a Strength potion just before a Chaos Thrust, a Vitality potion just before Foresight.

It would make all of those potions insanely more useful in standard play instead of collecting dust or being used for the exclusive purpose of turning in for Supply dailies.

We had /item during 1.x
I don't know why the devs removed it in ARR
Same with /equip for equiping gear outside of the character window/armory chest

PLEASE YES.

It would be lovely to be able to include potions in our macros. Right now, they are cumbersome to use with a crosshotbar; you just don't have enough space to waste an entire hotbar slot solely for the use of one type of potion.

If this option was once available, and has since been removed, it simply boggles my mind. I can't imagine that it would cause balance issues, and as it stands potion use is cumbersome at best.

It's never been available in 2.x.

Sounds silly but I bought a MASSIVE amount of fireworks, about a 1000, and would love to be able to macro some of these with certain abilities if not use them up quickly to stop them taking up space. Please don't ask why i bought so many.....I'm not sure I was thinking straight at the time.....though my FC bought nearly 3000....sooooo.

I would love this. As a WHM, X-Ether is my LAST resort when it comes to my MP. I want to let my party know when I am forced to use X-Ether because only then am I truly out of MP.

I probably won't ever even use the command other than for RP purposes myself (except maybe to use a Strength potion just before Inner Beast), but I am just imagining the utility for DPS and Healers would have for potions is astounding if they were macro'd in!
