Novus to Nexus bonus stat

Hi every1,

I saw this post on reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...xus_balancing/

According to that post, once your melded stat on Novus reaches a threshold you will get an extra point for that stat on Nexus.

Something like this

44 cap gets a point at 20-23
31 cap (DET) gets a point at 30-31

Example : 31 DET, 22 CRIT, 22 SS Novus get +1/+1/+1

Anyone know if this applies to PLD weapon since we have a sword and shield.
Also, is there another topic that discuss this?

Was wondering the same thing...
Would also like to confirm where the bonus stats are allocated. Would it be 2 bonus stat on Sword and 1 bonus stat on Shield?
1 stat might not make a difference now, but for future upgrades it will definately add up.

I believe the threshold is 20 for everything except det which is 30, and piety which might also be 30.

acc, crit, parry, ss are all 20 for sure though. and +1 +1 +1 seems to be the highest you can go.

As for the sword and shield, i believe but am not sure it is based on individual items. So as long as you hit the requirement on the item itself you get the bonus.

Original poster of that reply chain, I still don't know about sword bonus points but shield does not get any.

Also my original guesstimates were wrong for other weapons. Bonus for 44cap is at 21 or 22 and 42 or 44. 20 did not get +1. Bonus for Det is at 31 (capped). 30 did not get +1. PIE is odd since 33PIE makes for +2, and BLM Novus at capped (23PIE) is +1.

I geuss PLD got the short end of the stick seeing how shield doesn't get anything.

For those who are working on their Novus, how does melding on sword work? Can you have 31/22 on it?

It depends on the amount of secondary stats. You get 3 extra points with 2 stats, 2 extra points with 3 stats and 1 extra point with 4 stats. This is base on my FC members Nexuses (7 so far).

Here are my stats:

Curtana Novus >> Nexus
31 Parry, 22 Accuracy >> 33 Parry, 23 Accuracy


Holy Shield Novus >> Holy Shield Nexus
9 Accuracy, 13 Parry >> 9 Accuracy, 13 Parry

^ From this we can make a rough guesstimate that bonus points for Sword are at 15 and 30 for 44cap stats. I would assume based on other relics that Det has to be capped to get +1.

This means that you can not get 3 extra points if you are going with DET.

How so? There are enough points on sword to cap a "31 cap" (acc parry crit speed) and Det's 22 cap.

Saw a Nexus with 30 parry 25 acc in FL (assuming 29 parry 24 acc novus), 15/30 would be a good start to the 2 point bonus
