The bombs just act as an interrupt when casting or disabling lamps. They can be problematic if they are up when adds spawn from quick phase pushes, or the tank is getting trucked, because of how they can prevent heals from going out. But they die off quickly enough most groups just put up with this small annoyance until they suicide.

Chances are if you tried to help dps them as a tank you risk losing hate on the boss.

There are adds you will ignore on certain bosses. The bombs are 1 of them. Dps can kill them in a few hits, or just let them explode. The best way to grab adds, since the bombs/90% of adds always spawn in the same place. Is have your hate combo started, and use the second/third part the second the mob spawns, while already standing in place. You should preptivly be where the add will spawn. But for haukk just let your dps handle them. I ussual grab them as a dps because it's easy for me to just let them explode where as I have seen lots of tanks die to then exploding

Just leave the bombs. DPS "should" be taking care of those. Just stay focused on the boss and stun when you can and get out of her shitty AOE when warrented. The only time grabbing adds really matters is when the two batchicks and the eye pops. I usually try to position myself in the spot the eye pops, then run and gather the two ladies, get them all in one spot together and have the (hopefully in the party) Mage DPS LB them all. Then DPS can whittle down whats left, finish the boss and Bob's your uncle.

Sometimes as a tank, you have to make that decision of, do I fight to get that back or just let it be. Letting it be is sometimes the way to go because most times it will be dead rather quick and whoever it is hitting should be able to take a couple.

    Hope it helps!

In Haukke normal mode the crucial moment is when last adds appear, and they usually go to the healer. It's the healer the one who has to run to you and allow you to pick them. I learnt this when leveling the WHM after being there as PLD lots of times. (No problem as PLD, as a new WHM the mobs made a bee line to me, lol, I had to learn to give them to the tank.) It depends on the group, but if there is a lot of damage and therefore a lot of healing, the adds will go to the healer right away. Avoiding AoE means less heals and less healer aggro too.

Usually you shouldn't have to worry too much about the bombs, they do what they like, just not get killed by them, pick them if you can but not focus on them all your attention.

It seems you do well: shield lob, flash a lot, rage of halone combo, rotate mobs, attack the one who is losing aggro... You normally will be expecting the adds to come and know where they will be appearing so it's easier to pick them ASAP.

As far as I know, the Bombs in Haukke Manor (normal) can not be aggro, it will fixate its target on whoever turned off the light pedestal. Usually when I'm with a pre-made group helping new players to the dungeon I'd ask the healer to stay off the switching duty and leave it to the DPS and me so that the healing doesn't get interrupt. Tank close to one of the switch and have DPSs take care of 3 switches but like people above said, the Bombs die fast anyway so just focus on the boss and grabing the adds when they spawn.

This is just how I do it but I'm sure a healer could also just kite if they choose to especially if you have 2 range DPS in the group, there are other options.

Common sense is not so common anymore.

Bombs attack players that are interacting with lamps so tank will lose hate on bomb add every time someone put off the lamp. The coolest thing in Haukke is when tank dash to caster dps or heal to kill add and get boss cleave on those party members. Just shield lob or tomahawk bomb as it spawn, hit it as much as you can while you have enmity and then lat the dps finish it off when you lose enmity - don't run around chasing bombs.

Not all adds should be handled by tank.
