Free Company Name Change

I think it would be helpful to be able to change a FC's name since so much time goes into leveling a FC. My FC (Rank 8 /w Housing) wanted to change our name to more reflect the name of our Online Community, but were told "Sorry we don't offer those services" when I put in a ticket. So, I wanted to see what everyone else thinks of this. Yeah, there's going to have to be certain hoops to jump through. I don't think that FCs should be able to change their name whenever they feel like it, but I do feel that this should be a service offered for groups that come into the same problem we're facing. So I would like to put this up for discussion in hopes that if the community feels the same way maybe we can get this as a service?

So the people who bought FC housing from the other can now change the FC name.

Some Free Companies actually WANT to change their names for various reasons (change in leadership, change in goals, etc.) that have NOTHING to do with buying/selling Free Companies.

Totally agree with this. It's not a service I think I'd ever use, but it seems so basic that I can't understand why it hasn't already been implemented.

I gave my opinion why I disagree with this FC name change service, and that's narrow-minded? Awesome.

You don't simply change your FC name because of changing in leader or in goals. That's why we have LINKSHELL for that, try use it.

No one really pays attention to the actual name. The tag is all that matters and you can change that all you want. You don't need trolls having more ways to hide their identities.

Agreed. I would use this service because our FC has "changed" and the ability to "change" our FC name as we grow/evolve would be a welcome feature. When we first formed the FC, our goals were completely different than they are now...

On a side note: I would love to change my player name as well... even if it was offered like the Fantasia potions.
