Don't make it inequitable, perhaps something like dye-able variants of the current armor rewards.

This can be good but instead of doing a savage CT/ST mode,their can use that time to create new raids like Pandaemonium(final dung of FF II this can be awesome) or Kefka's Tower ^.^
don't worry we still have 3rd Crystal Tower raid coming 2.5.
I would like a harder version because the mechanics are fun, however coordinating 24 is hard... it should still be easier than (normal) coil or stepping in would be a nightmare.
iirc original crystal tower series is actually harder than binding coil of bahamut but at last it turn up easier than coil, i really wish that 24 man raid is harder than 8 man raid even tho it's hard to coordinating, if the content is easy to end up you will be bored and might swap to another game for waiting another patch comes up, not to mention those grinding content like relic series i like 1st series of relic tho at least i not repeating the thing over and over again such as atma fate grind.
Labyrinth of the Ancients is not more difficult than The Binding Coil of Bahamut imo
And OP, have you thought about trying your hands on Extreme primals and Second coil?
Seeing as you want more challenging content you may aswell give it a try, might like it

I enjoy difficult the current difficult 8-man content.
Though Coil is on lockout & ex Primals, you get the item you want & you're done, short-winded with virtually no replay value.
I think Savage LotA and ST will be subject to weekly lockout. Or at the very least wouldn't be on duty finder in the first iteration. Why? If it's only for titles, it'll go the same way as current Savage Second Coil. Dead on arrival. If you put good gear, say, akin to Second Coil (or Third), then you have to prevent people from gearing up 24 people a week and being completely done in 11 weeks leaving another 11~14 weeks of nothing to do.
However, if it was weekly lockout for those two with the addition to Coil lockout, then it starts to resemble the game FFXIV draws inspiration from. Now that's not a bad thing but I'm sure WoW refugees would not be very pleased. I'd like savage 24 mans though, reminds of my time in Aion doing Eternal Bastion.![]()
