Maybe I didn't see properly and I watched it again but as far as I can see the black clouds gradually gather and darken and then it starts raining and the thunder starts.
In the second video above, the clouds move like normal, and then the sky is all grey clouds and wind. I don't see the wind starting to pick up and the clouds gathering faster and faster...
Ya I didn't know they moved THAT much.... I wonder as well. Maybe they are like a force field of some sort and we will see the true protect. The one we saw in that one CS with the bubble ya...:P
I'd like it if the damned moon phase just matched what it's supposed to be.
Why do they take down working parts of the game to make it seem less polished? Like Collision detection with fences for example?
Anyway I hope they keep working on that because it would be great to see some variety in the weather like slight rain/big storm or small gust/tornado.
I also liked the way the weather effects in XI were tied to gameplay stats rather than them just being superficial dressing.
I liked how the weather frequency was set to seasons. When it came to unlocking smn or later on when magian trials were introduced it made it alot easier to know where to go and when. I just would like to see some extra variation in seasons. XI seasons were only visible by the weather frequencies. Like you always knew it was winter when it would snow in Batallia Downs or you knew it was autumn when it rained nearly constantly in the Sanctuary of Zi'tah, but that was the extent.
Well, I thought because of the snow, it would be a good time to bump this. In 2.0 are we going to get snow accumulation? Dynamic weather? Anyone know of info about weather?
And just as important as the weather visuals would be some effects on combat, gathering and crafting. Also, weather could trigger mob-spawns, and weaken certain monsters while strengthening others. It could make certain areas inaccessible, and allow access to some other, etc, etc.
well to be fair, they also said the game would be good enough that Tanaka was deliberately going to compete with WoW. however that game was never implemented.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
I would love to see season, we have snow falling in Ul'dah but none outside, would be awesome to see everywhere covered in snow.
Of course no point doing this until 2.0, hope they do something like this.
