The MMO and the dedicated player
The Game opens! A brand new world to conquer!
Day1: The dedicated player will starts immediately to find the most efficient way to cap the level. After some experimenting, and some forum post with his own pro friends in endgame forum, he got the right path, and will makes the world-first character cap. Its friends follows almost same time. All of them, subtle or less, braggin' hard on forums.
Day2: Endless farming of whatever gives the best armor of the game. Eventually whine about lockouts on forums, they are slowing him.
Day3: Storming everything haven't been unlocked or done previously. Endlessy grinding anything that drops something to brag about. A pet or a skin, who cares, it must be a rare!
Day4: All gone and done, telling all the world on forums that game is boring and dying and asking for expansion soon. All other players (the noobs!) still running to get the the cap.
Day5: The dedicated player moves to another game, new or updated. Rinse and repeat.
