Weird jittery hitching(?) every so often

I run into this problem while running around. Suddenly, I'll notice this jumpy movement of either the camera or just every animated thing in general. It's almost like a rubberbanding effect, just not quite. It definitely feels more like some kind of graphical problem. Yet, I do not experience any framerate drops. It just sort of happens despite having high FPS.

Anybody experience this and know what is going on?

btw, I have gfx set on maximum, but this issue seems to occur even when I put it on low. Again, it does not happen all the time. I've also noticed that alt-tabbing out of the game and back in resolves the jitters for a random amount of time. Almost seems symptomatic of a memory leak or something.

Catalyst drivers currently do have a leak that causes performance issues and crashing.

Just to make sure, you don't have the "Cache LOD data only when necessary. (LOD Streaming)" enabled, correct?

So, I followed some advice in another thread I found from a while back where the guy suffering similar symptoms ended up changing the thread usage of ffxiv.exe to only use 4 and changed the process priority to High. So I did that, and guess what... no stuttering all night. I did notice some performance drop though b/c of this... which really sucks. But I guess better than the jittery movement.

So, yeah... wth is up with that?
