Solkzagyl the Roegadyn Paladin has it.I've been curious about Oathkeeper, the sword they mention in the Paladin questline that got stolen. If I remember right it's part of a trinity of swords that includes Curtana. Perhaps once 3.0 comes we'll get to obtain it
From in-game
"Long has the sacred sword Oathkeeper been bestowed upon the commander of the Sultansworn, vowed protectors of Ul’dah’s ruler. Yet it is not alone in its greatness. At the time of its making, three other swords were struck from the same ore and forged in the same fires. These brethren blades, Curtana among them, were then gifted to the three noble paladins by whose hand the brotherhood of the Sultansworn was founded."

He has Curtana, the same way all of the NPCs throughout the questlines have relic weapons. For example Estinien has Gae Bolg even though you can later forge it yourself, likewise Jehantel has the Artemis Bow and so on. At the completion of the Paladin events he even says "Though the monetarists may have stolen Oathkeeper... etc." implying that it's not in his possession unless I'm not remembering him recovering it sometime before the final Paladin quest.
I love Maelstrom but I loved the Immortal Flames dps gear so much that I switched and ranked up in a day so I could wear it lol
So while I miss the Maelstrom its not like I hate any of the other Grand Companies, I like them all but just really wanted this glamour.
But I can understand if you don't want to switch, just means your GC is more important then your glamour...
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! (lol j/k)

Actually it's more likely that Solkzagyl has one of the two sister blades, either Joyeuse or (more likely) Durandal. Remember, unlike some other relics, the Curtana is a unique item, like the Thyrus (the one specific staff owned by A-Towa Cant and plundered from his grave). He has Curtana, the same way all of the NPCs throughout the questlines have relic weapons. Sorry.
Excalibur or bust. That's the endgame for my PLD. (Although, it'd be nice if we would have Zodiac Weapons but different styles of swords doing different things. Aaaah I'm still thinking of FFXI's weapon upgrade and how certain stats and decisions made you a different kind of sword...)
I think they said that the relic will change name at the end of it's upgrade ( Excalibur becoming the Curtana's final form )
FFXI had a neat system wherein you could buy the exclusive gear from other city factions at a greatly inflated cost of their point system (would be GC seals for us). It would be nice to have this option in FF14.
They are and in turn are based on the three corination swords of Britian's monarchs.

The other three swords used are the Sword of Spiritual Justice, the Sword of Temporal Justice, and the Sword of Mercy. The first two symbolise the sovereign's relationship with church and state and the latter represents Curtana, the short sword of Ogier the Dane which he was warned to draw in mercy not in vengeance.
