NIN 50: Over/Under

Tough call.
If people seriously stay true and grind hard, I'd say under 72 hours.
Assuming people are running with friends, I take in account of
the speed in which each dungeon is done and the amount of times that the dungeons has to be repeated. Dungeons are the best way to amount EXP so I'm sure you'll see tons of people running them.
Some breaks too for eating or restroom...others people a Ninja too, and finding a Healer/Tank to stay with you for a looong time lol.
I personally cannot play this game more than 2-3 hours at a time
before a headache, I've done it the other day for Levi EX runs and got one nasty headache because I was on it for 5 hours...never again.

Mitigating Factors:

There are going to be an as* load of NINs leveling. Queue times are going to vein insane for DPS. i don't think 100 leve allowance is enough to get you to 50 on its own. I also don't know if enough fates spawn in a 72 hour period to level a character 1-50. Don't forget that you have to do the class quest to get the job crystal, which means you at least have to do the class quests to 30 on rogue. Im not sure if you can level to 50 without doing the job quests (not sure), but that would add time.

Even with all of that said, I STILL think there are going to be ways for people to get around it and get a ninja to 50 under 72hrs. I would love to do it, but I can't take 3 days off of real life at the present time.

can someone confirm whether or not you need to do job quests after thirty to get to level 50. I don't know why I'm thinking you do. I could just be imagining things, haven't leveled in about 6 months.

You don't need to do any class quests (beyond the initial unlock) to get a class to 50. You do need to have done all the class quests to get the ability to unlock the job (as well as getting two extra skills to use), and you need to do the job quests to unlock 5 job exclusive skills. But for just getting to level 50 all the quests are completely optional.

I also expect there'll be a 50 NIN within 24 hours of the patch, from someone who has specifically arranged some friends to powerlevel with. A person leveling by himself without specific outside help but with a lot of playtime will probably take 3-4 days.

Dedicated people will get 3 other friends to run dungeons with and continually kill trash until their eyes bleed.

I've seen some crazy speed runs in other MMOs.

Under 72 hours? That's very generous... It's gonna be much lower...

Don't forget that players will prepare long before 2.4, and also don't forget the "20% increased XP gain up to level 20(?) item" from the recruit a friend thing.... Maybe not gonna make a huge difference, but I think it will bring down the time somewhat.

If you are 3 level 50's helping out 1 Ninja (which people will do), then you can do rush through dungeons at an extreme rate, and be 50 in no time at all...

For the more normal player, it's gonna take longer with everyone queuing as Rogue/Ninja though...
