While this is true, I'd have to say we see class exclusion even now in 2.0, despite Yoshi P's best efforts to homogenize and balance. Party Finder groups demand a Summoner for T7 (to be the Renaud puller) probably ~90% of the Party Recruitments I see. They always reserve 1 or 2 slots for Monk-Only on various Turns because of the DPS numbers that come out now placing MNK on top. Many T8 PFs demand a Warrior Tank for higher DPS.

It's not as extreme class-lockout as, say, XI was, but it's here as well.

Ultimately it's about each community and how flexible players are in general. In XI I played Monk in the early years (where it wasn't as desired most of the time), but I got through to max level 75 and was plenty successful in end game, even when "classism" existed. It just depends on finding groups (forming your own sometimes), LS / friends / community to overcome that.

Back in 1.23c relic, we all had multi-jobs, because you need it to run it. If you don't, you are just not ready for relic.

The general sense I have been seeing here in ARR is everyone plays ARR like how they play the other MMOs, one character, one class. This totally under utilizes FF and its multi-job character feature. This is largely due to the way Yoshi-P has been pushing out end-game, and BiS, and keeping the theme park play style IMHO.

But back to what you said, and what I am seeing is the community is too lazy and do not want to job up their other classes in the same character, and hence rather play ARR like other MMO, single character single class.

When you have multi-jobs within your character and you can do them all, why would it even matter if you are queuing up for T1, T6, or T8? It won't.
