While this is true, I'd have to say we see class exclusion even now in 2.0, despite Yoshi P's best efforts to homogenize and balance. Party Finder groups demand a Summoner for T7 (to be the Renaud puller) probably ~90% of the Party Recruitments I see. They always reserve 1 or 2 slots for Monk-Only on various Turns because of the DPS numbers that come out now placing MNK on top. Many T8 PFs demand a Warrior Tank for higher DPS.

It's not as extreme class-lockout as, say, XI was, but it's here as well.

Ultimately it's about each community and how flexible players are in general. In XI I played Monk in the early years (where it wasn't as desired most of the time), but I got through to max level 75 and was plenty successful in end game, even when "classism" existed. It just depends on finding groups (forming your own sometimes), LS / friends / community to overcome that.
