Weapon quest noob question

I am a summoner. I have the erudites pactrix of casting and 2 materia. So my question is how do I put it in? It says I need alchemy, but what level? Can someone else do it for me? Am I suppose to tip them? How much?

You will also need 2x Grade 3 Carbonized matter. You will need a level 50 Alchemist to meld the materia to the picatrix for you.
On my server, people will shout in the city for materia melding. To request the meld, select the player then 'request meld' and select the item you wish to meld (the picatrix) and the materia you wish to meld to it. Do this two times to get the melded picatrix.
When you request the meld, you can choose to tip... I tend not to ask for a tip, but some people still choose to give anywhere from 0-10000 gil.
