    Help with funky skeleton emnity mechanics (batraal)

    We keep having trouble with batraal's skeleton minions

    We have tried having one puller for each skeleton but sometimes they dont want to stick to that person for some reason

    sometimes they attack the tank and tank healer even though they havent been near the skeletons.. im presuming because they are throwing out cures..

    but then why doesnt batraal run off and attack the DD mages when they curaga while fighting the skeletons?

    i think there must be some really funky gameplay dynamics i am missing...

    i have watched videos and this doesnt seem to be a problem at all.. but when we fight the skeletons they just seem to attack who they want.

    im thinking of having the skeletons killed within range of the tank and main healer to at least not have everyone running around chasing them.. does this sound reasonable?

    can anybody offer advice?

    In FFXI it was not at all uncommon for a Boss mob with minions to have "shared hate." Meaning that whoever was the highest on the Boss's hate list would also be highest on his minions' hate lists, regardless of actions done or not done to the minions...

    Perhaps this fight has the same mechanic?

    hmm i dont think so because the skeleton can infact be pulled off the tank

    im thinking having them pulled with provoke+taunt so the tank and main healer can still cure without pulling the skeletons back

    and then having them run to the other side of the room where hopefully the emnity the tank/main healer generates wont have any effect because they are out of range..

    Perhaps they have a very small roam range then? and if you pull them too far away they return to where the boss is, and the pullers effectively have their hate reset?

    The moment the skeletons spawn, have your pullers attack them, and bring them over to one spot so you can AOE them to death. Try not to heal them too much while they are pulling otherwise you'll pull aggro.

    thats what we were trying renta but they kept want to go to the tank and main healer

    i guess we have to lay off the cure till the skele crew get solid hate

    When someones heals are they pulling more threat (by healing) than the damage your "pullers" are doing to them?

    Try and keep heals to a minimum when they pop so that your main healer doesn't pull threat.

    Stoneskin everyone before they pop, and let your main tank heal himself for 5-10 seconds.
