DEX/PIE

As far as I know there is still no official word on exactly what effects these stats have on fishing, I'm curious however what the most accepted and/or different theories are in the community?

Personally I seem to get more attempts at each spot for schools/spearfishing when I raise my DEX, but I have not tried enough spots/gear combinations yet to confirm this.

i notice my fishing improves drastically the higher my dex is.

I have always had a high dex, right from the start so I can't comment much about it. But I believe it gives you added attempts at nodes and makes it a bit easier reeling in.

Now Piety, I know for sure this increases the amount of fish you can pull at once. For instance if you notice you are pulling x1 and x2 of a certain fish much more than x3, try boosting your piety. It will push your total at a time catch up to be at the cap more often.

has anyone done some testing about what amounts we need per grade? and also does it appear we need more dex or pie per grade. like would you be rolling with 120dex/60pie on grade 5 or would need more or less

Personally I don't have the patience to do stat testing like this. The bait chart I am making is more than work enough lol. But I believe 60ish pie was enough to consistently pull black sole at x3. So perhaps around 60 base would be good overall. I have mine set at 76, once I pop on 3 +7 pie rings and the pie trait I have unlocked thats boosts me up to 111, once I unlock the lower pie trait I will have it at 116.

I think if you can get pie up to 80+ total with base and gear you should be good.
