Password Lockout Timer

Because I have Cap Lock Turn on and didn't realized it, I keep entering my password for a couple of times and I get the following message.

"Because password entry has failed multiple times, you will not be able to log in for several minutes."

I try back 10 minutes still get the same message. Does anyone have any ideas how long the timers is?

They may also have an extender as well. So if you try again during the lockout, it will extend the time. I know vBulletin (Not by default) and IPB silently do this when you try to post over your limit or something.

there is, each time you try after the lockout even if you use the correct password it adds to the timer by whatever the timer is so if it's 15 minutes each time you try to enter your pass after you get the lockout you will get another 15 minutes. I have confirmed the SE system works this way with their support. but they didnt actually tell me the lockout time. I know it's more than 10 minutes though. 15 minutes is probably more like it but it could be 30 minutes
