    IMO, I'd prefer a sort of 'risk' type system in the dungeons. You choose something to add to it, such as enemies have higher stats, equipment are level synced to lower levels (such as i70 sync for a dungeon that requires i50 gear), a smaller time limit, etc. Doing them gives you better rewards than before, such as more tomestones, some rare stuff like Alex, or tokens we can exchange for rare equipment/mounts and things like that. It puts a challenge into the harder dungeons, ones the playerbase can choose to take and get rewarded for doing.

    I love this idea. Introduce a different version of all the existing level 50 4-man dungeons with harder enemies, short time limit, extra stage hazards, additional boss mechanics for a chance of unique drops. And maybe make it so you can attempt it a limited number of times per day/week to further add to the risk.

    Maybe without the short time limit. I really don't want to see more speed runs (yeah, tired of the whole "gather trash mobs together, AoE them to death, boss, repeat". Was disappointed when this was the norm with Syrcus Tower's trash mobs)... the current level 50 dungeons can have a lower timer, though (Low Level dungeons can keep their timer. They tend to be harder than the end-game dungeons).

    The timer of dungeons is not meant to be a challenge or difficulty, that's why they are so ridiculously high, it's to prevent too many instances from taking server resources for too long, the timer ensures that instance will be destroyed no longer than the time set.

    4-man content shouldn't be hard.

    it's easier to blame someone if the duty isn't going well. kicking abuse rates will go through the roof.

    That's a pretty bad reason to come up with, Evangela. Especially when we take a look back at the Low Level dungeons starting at Brayflox (which, sad to say, require the player to pay more attention to everything more so than the level 50 dungeons. It hurts to say that Chimera in Cutters Cry is harder than Avere in Tam-Tara Hard...).

    When i just got to level 50 I tried the Pharos dungeon. Wiped lots of times since 3 of ous were new and we had a very patient monk with us.
    And that run was probably one of my most fun dungeon runs in this game.
    Then they nerfed it and never made a hard dungeon again so I don't enjoy doing dungeons anymore.

    My main is a healer and farming for nexus in dungeons is sooooooooo boring. I can holy myself through any dungeon if the tank is well geared too. I want challenging 4 man content because it would still be easier than 8 man, since with 4 ppl its easier to see whos dragging us down so that we can give that person advice to improve.

    Just like Pharos sirius was. I made us wipe like 4 times at last boss, and then I got some advice on how to dodge that ifrit rush and after that we took her down.

    I feel like they've lowered the difficulty for pretty much everything not coil since 2.0-2.1 where they had struck a pretty good balance imo. Theres a bit too much hand holding going on atm, I dont think this content should be super hard or anything but right now its a bit too easy.

    I think they have to. SE has statistics in their hands, they know how many players quit the game because of some dungeons. I know some people who quit because they can't beat the storyline Titan, Stone Vigil, and Demon Wall.
