Glad it got someone else as hyped as it got me! I read it after I typed it all up and just kept thinking how awesome that fight could be. I could have fleshed a few more things out with a bit more detail but I felt what I had was a long enough read anyway heh.

The Trema/Paragon fight (I assume it would be like a trial?) would be awesome too. Kinda 'pick your poison' type of fight in regards to which one you kill first. Do you kill Paragon and deal with a super buff Trema? Or do you take out Trema (who in my opinion has the tougher move set to deal with) and push your DPS to kill Paragon before he insta-wipes the party? Variation and difficulty. Awesome!

I also wouldn't mind the suggestion from Gormogon about having to fight multiple primals at once.

It's funny how the people who have posted serious fight ideas in this thread are unanimously creating content that is tougher than any other fights we have in game (outside coil).

Even though this thread was made to express our own ideas, I really wish it could pick up some traction (likes/views/responses) for the reps to take a look at this and maybe pitch some of these ideas back to the devs. All of these fights sound great and would add some variety into the formula we have been getting for the past year. I enjoy the game very much, and have had a lot of fun with it but variants of the same mechanics get bland over time.

Also, fights should be more of a pick your poison situation, even with fights that we have in game already. i love the game to death but we need less "there is only one way" and more "think of another way" type of situation.

    Step 1: Game of Death

Step 2: A solo only pve instance requiring the player to be a monk, that has you fighting various enemies one at a time, travelling up a pagoda. Final bosses including XIV versions of Yuffie, Sabin, Snow, Tifa, Zell, and any other hand to hand character I can't currently think of at the moment that would be created as specialized monks for each floor. One could be faster, one stronger, one able to inflict ailments more often, one has higher evasion, ect.

As a bonus, getting to the end unlocks a pvp mode where a bunch of players are instanced in the pagoda with another player of their rank 1v1, and they fight each other as a means of increasing their rank. You can either randomly queue against another player of any rank, or a specific range of ranks, or issue a challenge to a ranked player higher than you to better help increase your standing more. I cant think of any rewards atm.

Step 3: HP will not recover on its own in this mode. It's survival. However the player is allowed to use items and skills to recover HP, plus you regain a small portion of HP at the start of each floor. So avoid those AOEs and other crap.

OR of course we could just simplify things and just have a lalafell fight club where they all get oversized boxing gloves and top hats!

    "Soul Searching" Event

Enter any 4-man instance with 3 people (not class/job restricted). Half-way through the instance you get invaded by another player who will try to kill you before getting to the boss. Death will result in half your gil being lost and you will have to return to your bloodstain to retrieve the remainder of your gil. Dying before retrieving your gil will result in all gil lost.

The World's Greatest Fighter; Carteneau Flats
Req: Defeated Garuda Ex, Titan Ex, Ifrit Ex, Battle on Big Bridge, 1 Win in Pvp (Borderland Ruins)
Intro: Your Grand Company has received a letter of invitation to the strongest fighter to participate in a battle royal-esue combat to determine who the greatest fighter in Eorzea is. After accepting the quest, a new area of CF will open up allowing you to queue for an Ilvl 110 pvp 12v12v12 area, while it is similar to the original, the area and battle field will look different.

Phase 1: Upon entering the area, you will have 2 mins to decide who will play which role. 3 tanks, 3 healers and 6 DDs, once the timer runs out, the gates will open, however they will not open unless the job req has been met. Combat is similar to the original, do your best to take over positions and be the first to obtain 5,000 points.

Phase 2: Once a team has acquired 5k points (depending on their starting point) words will appear on the screen for everyone (Grid: A howling gale blows from the North!, Uld: The sky burns as the sun is eclipsed. LL: The ground tremors violently!) With that notification, all players of the corresponding team must hurry back to the starting point.
Once everyone is there, they will activate a glowing crystal (Fire/Wind/Earth) once that is done.
The Primal of their element is summoned at their gate and begins a slow trek towards the enemy corresponding enemy gate (Wind -> Earth -> Fire -> Wind)
New NPCs will spawn inside the starting area for that group and they will be allowed to change jobs to crafter or gatherer.

Gatherer Role: Just outside of the gate are nodes with Shards, farther away are nodes with Crystals and even farther are nodes with Clusters. Stealth Gatherer's cannot be attacked and take no damage from AoE, obtaining these elemental gems and bringing them back will further strengthen their primal, increasing health, damage output and mobility. (without mobility buff, it takes 5 minutes to reach said gate) Enemy players can intercept the primal and fight them as they trek towards their gate. The primal will only stop and fight if they are attacked, they will not pursue or kite. Once the primal reached the enemy gate; the enemy has 2 mins to obtain 5,000 points or the primal will limit break and their tower will be destroyed and they can no longer summon a primal. If this happens, the current primal moves to the next tower. Destroying a tower once a primal is up will not remove it from play. If a primal is defeated, it reappears once enough elemental gems are obtained.

Crafter Role: You will be able to recruit beastmen protect your main flags by crafting them gear, every time you craft a required set and turn it in, a number of beastmen will appear at one of the flags and protect it. They can claim the area for you.

Phase 3: Once 3 primals are summoned, OR all remaining towers are destroyed (highly unlikely) Texts will appear on the screen "Finally! a Worthy Adversary has come to fight me! Three on one! That seems fair!" A larger version of Gilgamesh will appear at the center of the map and all remaining primals, regardless of health will head towards Gilgamesh for a 3v1 battle of Gods! Anyone who wishes to continue to gather may do so, this will keep your primal alive longer to deal more damage to Gilgamesh. Any primals that die against Gilgamesh will not return. Crafting will not be required after this point.

Phase 4: Once Gilgamesh's life total drops to 50% he will use Giga Slash and kill all remaining primals. At this point it, it becomes a free for all DPS race against Giglamesh, he will use his skill set such as Mini, Toad, and Bombs against you. If you die during this phase, you cannot return, but you can be raised. Anyone who dies with double Weakness permanently turns into a chicken and will be able to eat enemy toads. Doing so reverts you back to life with full health and no weakness. The other player however is dead and will need to be raised.

Once Gilgamesh's HP drops to 5% he will begin Giga Slash (similar to Odin) If he uses it, the party wipes and the fight concludes. Everyone will be rewarded with PVP marks as per PVP rules.

Winning: Should you win; Gilgamesh will vanish and leave behind a massive warchest, once opened, everyone will receive a Gilgamesh Medallion; 2 other items also appear, 1 Gilgamesh Talisman (worth 5 Medallions) and 1 Genji Weapon (The weapon type is random); Bonus PVP marks are granted if your primal stayed alive long enough to be Giga Slashed.

    G. Medallions can be traded in to purchase Genji Armor (different pieces have different costs), An Enkidu minion or an Enkidu mount.
Morale Redux: Genji Armor has a set bonus, the more pieces you wear, the higher your stats are (+5 str etc) This only works in pvp or against "Supernatural Enemies" (aka primals)
Genji Weapon: also has the Morale Redux but also grants the wielder a bonus to a specific skill (benediction is an AOE) kind of thing.

Last Note: This fight is similar to Coil you can attempt it as many times as you like per week, but you can only open the chest once (further attempts will ignore you as one of the winners, but you will still gain pvp marks)
