Anyone compile a list of things to do to prep for NIN?

No need to wonder, they've made it pretty clear. Ninja is a confirmed melee dps job, it will be STR main, no need to overhaul the entire game to make it DEX.

They have another class coming that most don't talk about, ranged physical attacks of a gun, clearly a DEX player.

On topic - I got my UAT, tokens and soldiery tomes all waiting for me to hit 50 with NIN

Well personally I have the following ready for NIN:

• 12 Atmas
• 75 Alexandrite
• 1 UAT
• 7 Sands of Time
• 4 Oils of Time
• Some i90STR/DEX (idk what it'll be I guess...)
• I'll cap myth and sold closer to that time.
• Oils/Mist for earlier relic upgrade
• Friendship Circlet (1-25 lvling)
• 100 leve allowances
• Blood promise of friends helping me lvl through dungeons when my eyeballs can't take leves/FATEs any more.

I prepared by having my WAR leveled and ready to charge absurd prices for dungeon ques!

All I've really done so far is collected half a set of Atma because I have no idea yet if I'll want to make Ninja something I play seriously enough to gear up and use often. I'm more interested in what the expansion holds, to be honest, but Rogue/Ninja will be fun to get used to before all that.

My plan: Find out how to get the Ninja relic base and spam the heck out of it. I wonder if they'll be Savage Aim, Heaven's Aim, or Quickarm...

I keep telling myself I need to prepare for Ninja. I will probably cap Soldiery tomes, UAT & some oils/sands. Other than that, I think I'd prefer to earn my gear whilst playing Ninja.

I don't want to "complete" it as soon as I hit 50. I know there will be more content and a higher iLvl once the patch hits but I just want to enjoy the journey.

This. I'm actually leveling it on a new alt altogether.

hope lala animations arent the coolest like FFXI D: , im used to play hyur now , but will go back to lala if ninja animations are cool as taru nin used to be (that backflip!)

I'm going to prep by making as much HQ low level gear to sell as possible.

In addition to what's already been mentioned;

- Extreme Primal Tokens for weapon if daggers look cool (possibly)
- 5+ Odin Mantles in case Odin styled ninja armor/weapons are introduced.
- 5+ Behemouth Horns in case Behemouth styled ninja armor/weapons are introduced.
- 1740 extra allied seals in case your GC Hunt daggers look cool (probably not)
- 50k/50k GC Seals for leveling up or unique dagger skins
- All Disciple of War GC armor up to lv. 44
- Lv. 13 Lightning Event armor set
- Lv. 15 Foestriker armor set
- Lv. 32 Infantry armor set
- HQ Crafted armor to fill in the level gaps.
- Misc Disciple of War dungeon armor (Venerer Bracers, Penance, etc)
- Heat of Battle II FC actions bought and ready to be activated.
- Having or knowing a Master Alchemist for Ninja AF augmentations.

And if you're really rich and want to show off, save up the materials used in making the new crafted primal weapons. I imagine Garuda's daggers will look pretty sweet with the wind effect.
