XIVdb.com pulls their data straight from the game files. Every item in their database has always been in the game. This is how the Dodo Earrings, Slime King Crown, Slime Earrings, and a bunch of other event/vanity/misc items were discovered ahead of patches because they were put in before the initial update that allowed them to be obtainable.

Your client data will have this information in it if you do a little digging. Alas I have not the tools to do so myself, but XIVdb.com is about as close are you're going to get.

The client data shows a trial called Urth's Fount, for 8 players and time limit of 15 mins. This is not theory-crafting, it's in the client files.

The devs have said that Odin's story would be explained eventually. His fate battle pretty clearly says there's more to it than the players realise when they kill him. It would make perfect sense for there to eventually be a confrontation with him at Urth's Fount as part of the main story...

I doubt anything like this would be exclusive to fan fest though. That would be a LOT of work for something that would only see a few days use. All the primal trials at events were just modified versions of the normal primal trials, nothing completely new like this would be.

It will always come down to luck as people cry about difficult content. So the options are low drop rates needing extreme luck, or insane grinds.
