Sleipnir Mount - Becoming a reality!

Until I see some mention of it on Lodestone I'm taking all this talk as opinions and rumors. I don't really care that it's in the data files, as I've said before it wouldn't be the first time there's been data files in the game that never gets used.

I think what will happen is this will be tested at the Fan Fest and then later tweaked and implemented into the game. The fact they put some lore behind it makes me think it will also released outside of the fan fest. There was also a interview a couple months back and one question asked if Odin would be more relevant to the story/game at some point and I think the response was that he would be. I'd have to do some digging to find this interview though. Since it seems Shiva is the last new Primal to be added in 2.4 I think maybe 2.5 will focus on Odin (i hope)

Please, no. I don't care if it's hard to get but don't make it some absurdly low drop rate.

Luck should not dictate who gets what.

It will always come down to luck as people cry about difficult content. So the options are low drop rates needing extreme luck, or insane grinds.

God forbid this game have rewards that take skill over RNG to obtain. FF14: a grind reborn.

I like mounts and I'm a huge fan of norse mythology but It's sad that SE made sleipnir look like a regular horse and not the eight legged one but oh well I'll just have to make do.

I shudder at the thought of what it would take to animate an eight-legged horse. Granted, I lookat it in terms of me doing all the work, whereas SE has an animations team, but still. >.>;

I really hope that this isn't just a fan-fest thing. I would love for there to be an Odin trial in the game.

I wonder if this is just a pre-lude and Odin is going to be the main Primal of 2.5? I believe that they said before that they wanted the 2.x storyline to end with an event on the same scale as the "end of an era". Well the other Elder Primal going on a rampage could well do that.
