Please note, this feature initially will only be viewable on your screen. When you activate the command all characters in passive mode will not show their weapons. It is not more complicated than this, and also note this is an option, you do not need to do anything with the command if you do not like it. What this means is: If I want to take a picture of my character while wearing a swimsuit or the santa outfit and do not want the weapon to show for aesthetic purposes, I turn OFF the display of weapons on my screen, take the pic, done deal, display weapons ON.

They have plans to enhance the feature even more on 1.19.

The fact of the /disply only will show on your PC is nothing, becouse it will only temporal.

And the reason to not want this feature is wrote on the first post of mine in this thread.

But i can explain better: it will be unlogical and really weird and awful to see some ppl going to passive mode and banishing his/her weapons. The next will a /display to show off the chcobo you ride becouse ppl like to see his char flying :s

And i can understand ppl who like dress event stuf. But i dont think this is the good way to do it. I propouse to make a "/sit" command to show off your weapon. But just like "sit" have a limitatin of movement. This new command will have a limitation. Like be imposible to engage battle for example.

EDIT: PS: if you dont understand me is easy and better to write, hey i dont undersntad you what you mean than TROLLing and trying to say i am misunderstand the dev note.
