This game needs at some point to start getting complicated, to start allowing players to 'break it' slightly through unforseen consequences. They need to start letting some control slip to players. I don't want to hear about the party that managed to squeeze enough DPS to beat x boss. I wanna hear about the one SCH killing him over 4 hours, or the SMN duo pet-swapping to a win. If it's ridiculously easy, then patch it out. If it showed skill and cunning let it stand.
Okay.
So how about the team of 8 black mages that killed King Mog HM without a single healer in the group? The team that used Titan-egi to tank the King on Thornmarch EX to allow for a "three-tank" setup with no need to deal with the tank-swap mechanic? Turn 2 Enrage? The 2 SMN + 2 SCH team that 4-manned Leviathan Extreme? I don't see Square patching out any of those.
I'm really getting tired of people bringing this one up. The Titan strat was patched out because at implementation, Ramuh could not kill Titan-egi. This led to a majority of parties deliberately and aggressively excluding any and all tanks from Ramuh EX and playing the fight in such a way that the fight was ludicrously simple. There are -plenty- of neat strategies players are more than welcome to come up with, stop using one example that players were using to shut two whole jobs out of endgame content to further your absurd claims that "Square doesn't want people going off-script".
